# Utility

BIM Protocol issues the BIM token as the cornerstone of governance and the representation of rights in the ecosystem, enabling holders of the BIM community and the founding team to vote, decide and jointly manage BIM Protocol.

### BIM Utility

**Governance rights**

BIM holders and those who stake their tokens obtain voting rights within "BIM DAO", [enabling them to vote](https://snapshot.org/#/daobim.eth) and influence key decisions that guide the development and improvements of BIM Protocol.

**Rewards for staking**

In return for their stake and participation, BIM holders receive a share of the results generated by the BIM Protocol (BIM Exchange). The more activity there is on BIM Exchange, the greater the results, which translates into greater rewards for BIM Holders. The more BIM users contribute, the greater their share of the costs! There is therefore a symbiotic relationship between BIM stakeholders and the success of BIM Protocol.

**Fee refunds**

With our new trade refund scheme, BIM holders can also benefit from significant trade [fee reductions when trading with BIM Exchange](https://exchange.bim.finance/indexEN#tab-buyCrypto). The percentage of fee reductions is based on their number of BIM, offering greater rewards for higher levels of commitment.

**Liquidity Provision**

BIM holders can contribute [liquidity pools (e.g. BIM-cbETH)](https://support.uniswap.org/hc/en-us/articles/7423194619661-How-to-add-liquidity-to-Uniswap-v3), providing valuable liquidity and earning fees from the trading activity that flows through the pool.

### The Future of BIM

As BIM Protocol evolves and gets equipped with additional features, BIM’s utility is poised to grow even further. User feedback, community engagement, and ongoing developments will collectively shape the token’s future applications.
